1. Introduction
This Privacy Policy explains how RouteMaster ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, shares, and protects
information when you use our application and services (the "Service"), including information obtained
through the QuickBooks Online integration provided by Intuit Inc. ("Intuit").
2. Information We Collect
- Account information: name, email address, and role, used to authenticate you
and control access to the Service.
- Business operations data: records you or your organization enter into the Service,
such as customers, suppliers, locations, drivers, and pickup/delivery details.
- QuickBooks data: when you connect your QuickBooks Online account, we receive
OAuth credentials and access to the QuickBooks company data you authorize, such as customer lists
and invoice information.
- Usage and technical data: basic log information such as IP address, browser type,
and access times, used for security and troubleshooting.
3. How We Use Information
- To provide, operate, and maintain the Service;
- To authenticate users and enforce role-based access;
- To perform actions you direct, such as creating invoices and attaching documents in your
QuickBooks Online company;
- To communicate with you about the Service;
- To secure the Service and prevent abuse.
4. QuickBooks Data
Our access to your QuickBooks data is limited to the scopes you approve through Intuit's OAuth
authorization flow. Specifically:
- We use QuickBooks data only to provide the Service's features (for example, mapping
customers and creating invoices at your direction).
- We do not sell, rent, or share your QuickBooks data with third parties for their
own marketing or advertising purposes.
- OAuth tokens are stored securely and are used only to communicate with Intuit's APIs on your
behalf.
- You may revoke our access at any time by disconnecting QuickBooks from the Settings page or
from your Intuit account, after which we will no longer be able to access your QuickBooks
data.
5. How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information. We may share information only:
- With Intuit: as necessary to operate the QuickBooks Online integration you enable;
- With service providers: hosting and infrastructure providers that process data
on our behalf under appropriate safeguards;
- For legal reasons: when required by law, regulation, or valid legal process,
or to protect the rights, property, or safety of our users or others.
6. Data Retention
We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the
Service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. You may
request deletion of your data at any time (see Section 8).
7. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your
information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), access controls, and secure storage of
credentials. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee
absolute security.
8. Your Rights and Choices
